Flybe or Easyjet fly from many places in the world through their “codeshare partners” like KLM or Lufthansa, fly to Inverness Airport. (code INV)

From there take the JET bus service 11 which runs from Inverness – Airport – Nairn - Forres - Elgin which is every 60 minutes or so. Get off at the King Street bus station in Nairn(opposite the Co-operative supermarket), cross the road into Leopold Street and the apartments are at the far end of the street on the right hand side.

Taxis are available at the airport, but try the local numbers to have someone meet you. There are taxi firms in Inverness and Nairn.

By Rail:

Take the train from Inverness. (Station code INV)

Book your ticket to Nairn (station code NRN) but trains from Inverness are not frequent at every 2 hours, so make sure your train is direct to Nairn or connects well. When you get to Nairn have a coffee at the Coffee Station on the platform (you'll need it!) Exit right on to Cawdor Street about 150 yards to the merge with Cawdor Road, keep left on this for around 500 metres. Highland apartments are at the junction on the left hand side opposite the TSB bank.

By Bus:

The alternative is bus: Leave by the railway station main entrance and turn right for 200 yards and turn second right into Margaret Street where you will find Inverness bus station. Take the JET bus service 11 from Inverness – Airport – Nairn - Forres - Elgin which is every 30 minutes or so. Get off at the King Street bus station in Nairn(opposite the Co-operative supermarket), cross the road into Leopold Street and the apartments are at the far end of the street on the right hand side.

Also

Megabus and Stagecoach operate services through Nairn.

Otherwise just take the JET service no 11 from the airport to Nairn.

By Car:

GPS address is 2 Leopold Street, Nairn, IV12 4BP (google shows correct location if you enter in "IV12 4BP" only)

Please be aware that:

  • The parking is very limited in and around Highland Apartments,
  • There is plenty of free parking in and around the centre of Nairn.
  • Nairn town centre operates a one way system which flows clockwise.  Streets affected are Gordon Street, High Street and Leopold Street.
  • During the school year the Mummy run effectively acts as the “rush hour” so traffic can be heavy at those times.
  • Highland drivers are for the most part courteous and very forgiving. We hope the atmosphere of the Highlands will help you too.
